Healthcare Sign Language Interpreting Services
Access to Patient Communication
Experience the Difference
MT&A does not operate as the traditional interpreter referral service but from our mission where we believe everyone has an equal right to quality communication. In partnership with the Deaf and Hearing communities, we promote respect and independence to enhance relationships. We do this through dependable and reliable interpreting services, education and training, and advocacy customized with a personal touch. We not only meet ADA requirements for equal access to communication, but our unique approach is aligned to fully integrate Deaf into their communities.
How? Sign language interpreting is what we are known for but it is only roughly 15-20% of what we actually do.
- Our team invests 80+% of their time in ensuring sign language interpreting services are delivered accurately and appropriately.
- We show up and get it right the first time! We only attract, recruit, and hire the highest qualified sign language interpreters.
- Office staff and sign language interpreters provide cultural mediation, insight into the interpreting process, and genuine care for clients.
- We invest in expert staff: Deaf Community Liaison, expert interpreters, subject matter experts (SMEs), trained and experienced leadership.
It’s not about saying sign language interpreting services will be excellent; it’s about delivering on that promise.

Partnering for Excellent Care
Equal access to communication is a legal requirement under the ADA and ACA; however, it doesn’t have to feel like a legal requirement. MT&A interpreters are caring and sensitive to the needs of office staff and patients. Additionally, physicians want to ensure that the interpreter they have hired is able to interpret the message equally. Budgets are small, but just meeting the basic standard under ADA/ACA law is not the same as accurate quality services to ensure excellence in patient care. For that reason, we do not operate a one-size-fits-all approach. We look at each unique requirement, customize our services, and provide genuine recommendations for the best possible outcome of services. For example, if your specific requirement would benefit from having an onsite manager, we would not advocate to remove the manager to lower costs and win your business. Why? Because you and those whom you serve would not be receiving the services you requested.
Our flexibility and standards make us an excellent team to care for the communication of your patients and staff. Some of our current partners include the Department of Mental Health, private in-home services, doctors offices, and healthcare facilities. If your organization is looking for highly qualified and detail oriented partners, we have exactly what you need. Contact us to let us know how we can serve you!

Partnering for Excellent Care
MT&A knows that tax dollars are sparce and that everyone is trying to do more with less. For that reason, we do not operate a one-size-fits-all approach. Simply lowering price greatly sacrifices the impact to quality of services, so we ensure the highest quality services at the best value. We look at each unique requirement and provide genuine recommendations for the best possible outcome of services.
